For those of you not vexillologically minded, let's talk a bit about flags and symbols seen in #Belarus.
The current red-green state flag, used by Lukashenko loyalists, is a slightly modified flag of Soviet Byelorussia, with the hammer and sickle removed..

Lukashenko instituted it after taking power in 1994, as he always played on the feelings of Soviet nostalgia.
Also seen at the pro-Lukashenko were the flag of Russia, the black-blue-red flag of the Donetsk People's Republic, which Putin has carved out of Ukraine, and, bizarrely..
... the white-blue flag of the Dynamo Sports Society. Probably another allusion to the glorious Soviet past. The orange-black striped flag used the colors of the ribbon of Soviet Guards, an allusion to the Great Patriotic War, basically the Putin-era loyalist Gadsden flag...
Anti-Lukashenko protestors have adopted the white-red-white flag that was briefly the national flag of Belarus before being outlawed by Lukashenko as "nationalist." They are also using the old symbol, a mounted knight, taken from the coat of arms of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania..
They also overwhelmingly wear white. Thus, we appear to have another "color revolution" happening. Though, can you call it color if it's white?
