If you deduce the script of #GunjanSaxena, you will realise that the script-writers are Neo Leftists. Their ideology has crept into the narrative and distorted certain facts. Perhaps they were aware of it or maybe, not.

But in Neo Left ideology, Nationalism is a dirty word. Patriotism is also defined differently in the Neo Left lexicon.

Neo Leftists romanticize the call of duty and falsely relate lofty ideals with ground realities. A passionate pursuit of their ideals often define their planned actions.
Example: Their dogged pursuit to elevate the minority (or the oppressed) often eclipses ground realities.

Gender dynamics is overtly shadowed by this Neo Leftist view. The female gender (and LGBTQ) will always be perceived as the oppressed, whether or not it's a ground reality. The female gender is always oppressed by the majority males.

Reality: Members of the armed forces are supposed to be nationalistic & chant nationalistic slogans during duty. It's an accepted norm, practice and long standing tradition.
Example: Jai Hind (Hindustan) is a greeting. Or Bharat Mata Ki Jai is an accepted parting chant for forces

A Neo Leftist mind follows a logical fallacy as a universal truth. The fallacy is as follows:
All ideologies are wrong
Left is not an ideology
Hence, Left Ideology is right
In fact, the fallacy has characterised the Left Ideology ever since it took shape and then got disfigured

Leftists view other ideologies with contempt, often with a patronising disposition. This despite, their ideology destroying the political structure in many countries. Yet, they have not cured themselves of this self-imposed handicap. Much like Gandhari, who chose to be blind

The script writers had to cherry pick from the book (cover below). While doing that, their ideological blindness crept in and the script started writing itself.
Result: They started viewing the incidents mentioned there through their own red-tinted glasses.

In their mind, Gunjan Saxena is a lady who invades a male bastion.
So, she represents females who are in male bastions. Hence, Gunjan is oppressed and minority.
Left ideology prescribes that the oppressed will struggle for equality with the oppressor.
Hence the narrative changes.

The segment of the Udhampur Airforce Training Camp is all about Gunjan Saxena, the proletariat, who is struggling against her oppressors (the male chauvinists) who are trying every trick in the book to dominate her.

Post Udhampur, #GunjanSaxena starts winning. She answers her call of duty, sticks to her end of the stick and wins over her oppressors.
In the end, her oppressors are shown to bow down as they applaud her in a group.

You will find Neo Left footprints in many scenes of #GunjanSaxena which messes up an otherwise brilliant narrative.

This should have been course corrected pronto. Somebody should have noticed this. There were too many red flags to not ignore this. I doubt if the script has been reviewed. Or may be, the script has been reviewed by a Comrade again. In that case, he or she will find it brilliant!
The film started as a true story. Then veered towards fiction and became an ideological narrative.
Expect Leftists to change goalposts & say "what a film should ideally be" or use terms like "creative liberty" to justify.

The scriptwriters should introspect. I am sure they won't. Their ideology says that they are always right and the Right is always wrong.
