protesters say similar things 2 what my team heard in rapid interviews during Euromaidan. 1 middle aged woman “we are here 2 show that normal people r here it’s not just kids anymore” this is like when a Ukr protester said “the grown ups, the voters r here now deal with us”
Many protesters interviewed mention violence and dignity @ksvarnon & @channelljustice one more case for us to add :)
And the crowd is huge. The uniting master frame is what Beissinger would call a negative one (against Lukasehnka) demanding his to leave.
The protesters are also showing more organization. They marched in columns from their neighborhoods and meeting points.
As the protests unite around one master claim and grievance you have a new slogan “Lukashenko into the patty wagon” it’s similar to ”lock him up”
protests are not only truly massive in Minsk, regional diffusion is also truly impressive for those individuals who study within country diffusion. #michealbiggs #emmamateo #chirsbarrie can tell you that this is quite impressive
