Media cycles & memories are short— but it takes very little to convince people to have general disdain for a woman.

It can be the result of unsubstantiated accusations, biased headlines, or even random gossip repeated.

And, voilà— a lifetime of general disdain.

If you ask the person later *why* they feel general disdain, they probably won’t even recall or be able to articulate the specifics— but that general dislike will linger never to be refuted.

Because you can’t really refute a feeling.

The exact opposite is true of men.

People have accute amnesia even of specific accusations of horrifying conduct substantiated by legions of witnesses.
