In 2014 I was posted at CSI Airport Mumbai. That Year, we at Mumbai Customs seized over 1000 kilos of Gold. A record haul of gold for any Airport. (Still unbroken!)

This is how we celebrated that glory! A special 10 kilo cake made in the shape of a gold bar.

That Gentleman next to me was my Commissioner. Absolute gem of a person who reposed complete faith in me. All we did and all we achieved was because of the bedrock of support from him.

It's said that a babu may become the Chairman of the Board or the Cabinet Secretary but will always remain nostalgic about the first few years of his service. I guess this is that period for me

We had taken gold out of every imaginable contraption. Stoves, Emergency Lights, Back packs, Pant Hooks, Bar Stools, suitcase lining, Wrist Watches, wigs and even people's backsides.

So none of these new recent cases seem innovative. Been there, done that. !
