1) This isn't ACE funding. It's DCMS funding, distributed by ACE.

3) This fund is not about getting as much arts & culture out there as possible between October - March. It's about value for money for DCMS to save cultural orgs who will be able to stand on their own two feet from March and not ask for any more money in the future.
4) If you're applying to stay partially reopened or do creative activities because you want to / you believe it's nice... that isn't going to get you the money. If its actually more financially sensible to mothball till April, that's actually what they'll give you the cash to do.
5) It's also not about saving as many jobs as possible. If you're asking for a large sum without any sort of hours reduction, pay freeze or redundancies - again, you're not likely to get what you're asking for.
6) All of this is shit and goes against all my core values and everything I believe in, but it's just the truth of this fund and this situation.
