judging from the training sessions, the friendly, Favre's older quotes, and stuff currently coming out it seems like Favre is desperate to go back to a back four

I think that'll be problematic for a number of players
Zagadou: can't use one big strength (dribbling through the left half space to find new passing angles) as often anymore + Hummels better as LCB
Akanji: doesn't have two other CBs who help him defend (only kind of joking)
Hummels: easier to man-mark him to disrupt his passing
Piszczek: hasn't played as traditional CB and seems to lack the athleticism, especially when playing next to Hummels
Can: see Zag
Meunier: better going forward with more freedom, not a great deep defender
Morey: similar to Meunier although underrated defensively
Guerreiro: same
Brandt: can't really play him in central midfield anymore because he has too little defensive help and less security blankets when losing possession
Bellingham: mistakes in midfield could be more costly with less players covering him (kinda bad for a young player)
in general we're lacking wingers for the system, Hazard is the only somewhat conventional winger. everyone else prefers the half space or is just better centrally
could it be good for some players?

in a 4-2-3-1 the #10 should suit Reyna and in a 4-3-3 the #8s could suit him, Bellingham or Dahoud

overall I think it's a bad idea and I don't understand why Favre keeps on trying it after he found something that worked in his 3-4-3
