This was obviously with the support of all mainstream parties like Shivsena, BJP etc.

After that Ms Azmi started working for a movie called Water. The movie attempted to narrate plight of child widows in Varanasi and other holy cities.

Again Hindu extremists opposed it. 2/n

Hindu organizations attacked it's shooting & director Deepa Mehta had to cancel the remaining shooting.

Contrary to what Ms Azmi portrays herself as warrior against extremism, she got frightened & opted out of the movie.

She realized that nobody can fight against Hindu extremists. And one should not even dare to reform Hindu religions.

However it's easy to tarnish image of Muslim community while ignoring the fact that many great singers and music directors are from Muslim community. 4/4
