Online Dating needs another @Tinder moment.

A completely fresh UX that works and takes people by surprise.

Few ideas for founders who are exploring (THREAD)
1. Let matchmakers create dating communities of their choice. Enable them to curate, host experiences, moderate the community and make money on matches

Decentralize the power of match-making to smart people and let them make money.
2. Disrupt Bharat Matrimony & Shaadi with a solid UX revamp and not just a mere listing of 1000s of profiles with filters.

There are so many loose edges to break into that large market.
3. Swiping is a tiring process. Can we remove swiping 100s of profiles as the UX and make people do things together and keep showing profiles in the process?

Play a common quiz, games, and while playing show people in this process.
4. Online Gaming is a great way to bring people together. Thematic card, board games where people with a common interest to date come together and play games.

They have features adjacent to the game to chat, like, ask q&a to go on a virtual date.
5. Shoutout in private networks that your friend is looking for a date. I see this commonly done in many Facebook groups.

Can this shoutout be not just a post but traveling through the right channels for better conversions.
6. There seems to be no dating app or widget on top of @LinkedIn. Why so?

A Widget to show if the profile you opened on Linkedin is on this dating network or not. If you like on the widget, the other person gets to see your LinkedIn profile + Dating profile.
7. Create tools to make 'Dating as a Feature' for other products that have large networks of users. Dating is serendipity that happens in different mediums like colleges, offices, parties, etc.

Recently @kunalb11 had shared a tweet about the same https://twitter.com/kunalb11/status/1285537361447858176
8. There is another approach that @srinitude had shared for dating. The @beondeck approach. https://twitter.com/srinitude/status/1294726356555767816
9. Dating is very very common in universities.

On the other hand, Ed-tech startups don't enable that somehow. They see it as the job of a different platform.

No wonder people spend 4 years to finish a degree but not spend a few weeks to complete a course 😝
Which UX approach would be a great alternative for dating?

Anything that can be borrowed from other products or a fusion of two or more products.
On a side note for all south Indians 😁

When I was in college, everytime I took a flight or train. I hope this moment could have happenned.

Make this serendipity happen to the youth of India. 🙏

If you have seen this movie you will understand. 😁
