I have been asked about how I got my properties, and here you go.
Note that you you need to make sure the property calculations add up - and that you don't make a loss.

1. I found a property while browsing some groups on Facebook. I made an offer and it was accepted.
2. A friend of my dad wanted to sell his property. I know the area and the block, and was able to pick it up at a good price.

3. Someone I know on a board of trustees got into a lift with someone saying they need to sell a property desperately. I picked it up for a distressed price
4. An agent I have bought through previously contacted me with a property that was in the process of being repossessed by the bank. I made an offer which gave me a bit of buffer to fix up the kitchen, and it was accepted.
In another scenario, we had a friend. His neighbour wanted to sell their property. It was an excellent property but wanted R300k above market-related price for it.
We offered market-related and he did not accept it.
Too bad, neh!
