It's the prerogative of all to seek softer lives. It's no harm.

But the pressures on men are worse & we can't dismiss it away like girls can. If I hire an engineer to stand in 45 degree heat in a shed with me for 3-4 hours, I can be reasonably certain he will.

A girl won't.
I don't understand what atmosphere I can create to make my industry more "welcome" for girls.

I can't change that it's hot & brutal. I can't stop the mines from being damp & grim. I can't make the pots stop spewing smoke. I can't change the way our lungs & eyes burn at night.
The work I or G sir or any of my brothers or juniors do is suffering. It is pain. But it has to be done.

My brothers & my boys do it because they're from Tier III colleges & can't get good Metro jobs, they have old parents & sisters to marry off.

I know they stand. Girls don't.
