There is immense hardship you can face growing up in a country where the GDP per capita is 1/10 of what it is in the United States, you come to an entirely new place, have to learn the language, the customs, situate yourself into a community.
And yes some white folks have plenty of hardship too. In 2013, can you guess what kind of county had the worst life expectancy in America? It was McDowell County, WV, which is 90% white.
