tw vs cw : a thread !!!

tw = trigger warning

is used when talking abt a subject that can cause ppl to be triggered , relapse , or have harmful and negative reactions by viewing the content
i.e anxiety , sh , eds , etc

cw = content warning

is user when something isn’t necessarily triggering but can make someone uncomfortable or upset !!
i.e nsfw , selfies , etc

why is it important to know? if u use tws on something that isn’t a trigger it can cause actual triggers to be discredited !! some ppl take trigger warnings less seriously cos of others using tws for non triggering things

also !! im not trying to invalidate anyone’s triggers , we are all different and have different triggers , im just trying to help ppl know the difference between tw and cw and when to use which . if i hurt anyone pls know i did not intend to do that at all
