I think Jrue is the better defender by a couple miles and a slightly lesser offensive player. That’s my simplified reasoning for this. Jrue is also more impactful (mostly cause of his two way ability, Mitchell is definitely more impactful on offense not denying that)
In order for me to negate Mitchell being as bad as he is on defense he needs to be an elite offensive weapon, which he’s not(yet). 24ppg on average efficiency and average playmaking and average impact isn’t elite. Jrue isn’t better than Mitchell on offense tho. Im not saying that
I think Jrue is a top 3 defender at the guard position(Ben, Smart, Jrue) and the stats and his rep back that. His elite defense combined with his good offense(solid scoring, average efficiency, good playmaking, average impact) puts him above Mitchell for me.
