I talk a lot about bias and how it can impact our news, our translation of information, and our investigations. As a former investigator, I learned early to treat facts with neutrality (so as not to taint the investigative process).

Why would any party to an investigation expect anything as an outcome? The method is to uncover facts and allow those facts to speak for themselves.

There's obviously good reason for that. But we cannot allow our feelings for the man to dictate how we conduct ourselves in these matters. If wrongdoing occured, even if it totally exonerates him, the wrongdoing must be exposed and tried... (3/5)
Failure here sets an extremely dangerous precedent. It says, "We're okay with corruption and law-breaking so long as it harms our political opponents."

More often than not, the truth provides justice on its own.
Please keep an eye out for statements like these and don't let them dupe you into thinking your side is the "correct" one.
