Observation:

"Just preach the gospel" appears to mean "the fruit of actually believing the gospel takes too much sacrifice on my part and isn’t comfortable for me to address right now, but I don’t want to seem like I endorse sin, so I’m going to leave it to God to change hearts
and actions of others."

This isn't done with abortion. But black folks and abortion are a favorite topic to mention. Okay - how many of you using it as a talking point have contacted a local church, helped set up parenting classes,
donated to establishing a pregnancy center in the same neighborhood you in the same neighborhood and among the same people you criticize ? Otherwise, you're simply saying 'be warm and well fed'.

This isn't done with missions. But black communities are spoken of in the same
fashion that you speak about the godlessness in foreign countries. But when it comes to those countries, you learn the language, learn the customs, learn the culture, and generally leave your own 'home culture' at home so as to bring no other offense than the gospel.
It looks a bit suspect to leave and go overseas because you want to see people become believers, but never step foot in neighborhoods a few blocks from your church (and still criticize them). That's hypocrisy. The 'woke' crowd is right to point that out fully and
completely because it's a violation of Lev. 19:18 and James 2:14-16.

Please don't retreat to 'the church's mission is spiritual' as though the Word of God doesn't affect all of life. As you sit by, stick your theological heads in the sand, and shout about mainstream media plots
against the right, communism, fascism, critical theory, intersectionality, etc... the left is moving in to fill the void in this area that you very well should have answered and handled a long time ago.

If you value your cultural comfort more than obeying the Word of God, you
are part of your own 'problem'. This was part of the 'Graham' problem in the 60's. "Not now, not yet, too soon, too quick".

Spurgeon spoke rightly and condemned slavery back in his day, despite it costing him American support and making some parts of America dangerous
for him to visit. He believed the Word of God and didn't consider it 'too inconvenient' to condemn slavery and racism in the US outright.

Reformed theology has TONS of resources to help us think through this (WLC is a goldmine!) and deal with it rightly. I believe the true
problem, however, is that too many have adopted Cultural American Patriotic Churchianity as their model and framework instead of Biblical Christianity.
