Vinai, who has been at Arsenal since 2010, said: “I am thankful to Stan, Josh and the rest of the Arsenal Board for their trust in me. I will miss working closely with my colleague and friend Raul, but I am looking forward to this new challenge."
Vinai:”There is much work to do to return Arsenal to the top of the game where we belong, which is what our fans rightly demand. While this won’t happen overnight, I believe we have many of the critical ingredients to do so. There are many positives to build on across the club”
Raul Sanllehi: “I’m proud and pleased with the contribution I’ve made at Arsenal over the past three years, and look forward to enjoying the club’s future success. Arsenal is a true footballing institution.
Sanllehi:”I am proud to have been part of its history and I thank Stan and Josh Kroenke for this opportunity. Working with Vinai, we have built a top team for the future. Mikel has made an extremely positive impact since his arrival and has formed a strong team with Edu”

Gerard Lopez (Lille President) on Gabriel Magalhães: “Gabriel is young, extremely powerful, currently right now probably one of the two most dominant defenders in the French league. There’s a lot of competition [for him].”
Gerard Lopez on Gabriel: “The way we work is very simple. We explain to him [Magalhães] & his environment, his agent, what we are looking for & once we get those offers, the choice is his, like we did with Nico [Pepe] & Victor [Oshimen]. We are there now.”
Lopez on Gabriel: “We told him, ‘Eventually you have to make a decision but we’re not pressing you’. I think he will make it this week, or next week at the latest. We help him out a little bit so we tell him, ‘We think this might be the right manager or club for you’.”
OFFICIAL: Arsenal youngster Matt Smith has joined newly-promoted League 1 side Swindon Town on a season-long loan.
Alan Smith: "Saliba, by all accounts, has tremendous potential as a classy defender in the van Dijk mould. I can imagine Arteta on the training ground, working hard with the 19-year-old to instil good habits. Depending how that goes, we might see the Frenchman let loose early on"
