okay look. why beetles? why do darwin and i like beetles??
a beetle is large and colourful and IN GENERAL not as DANGEROUS as other large colourful bugs and that makes them kind of INHERENTLY CHARMING!

but like, the difference between a murder hornet (which is large and colourful) and a beetle is that the murder hornet might END U

whereas a really large beetle is kind of cute, bumbling around and not harming anybody. :D

and let's not get into, you know. centipedes and stuff. that eat bats and frogs and mice and i don't know probably people and whathaveyou.
