Trump adopting left wing critiques of his opponent was simpler in 2016 given the populist tone. “Hillary is a tool of the establishment/banks/system/etc” was a similar critique manifested in different tones in both the primary and general.

Biden or Harris because Trump’s invocation of a radical left is more central to holding the GOP together right now.

So you get Joe Biden, senile tool of the radical left and also the man responsible for mass incarceration, and Harris, at once too soft and too hard on crime.
Meanwhile, Biden is acting like a guy ahead and sticking to safe things. “Trump did bad on COVID, racism is bad,” and the new “USPS good” is a good set.

I am an Low Enthusiasm Biden Voter but within that I just haven’t seen strategy or vision in the Trump campaign in months.
