He said increasing migrant boat crossings over the English Channel and anger over so-called “cancel culture” have also had an impact

He said dominant groups and activists in the British far right, such as Tommy Robinson, have focused on Islam and left overt racism to the “extreme fascists” like banned terrorists National Action

But now there is a "move from people previously" aligned with more moderate groups

The report said growth of the new Patriotic Alternative group, which openly calls for non-whites to be ejected from the UK, suggests a “shift towards more openly racial politics”

Formed by a former BNP official, its growth has sparked concerns it may unite right-wing factions

Like Generation Identity before it, it's publicity uses euphemisms like "indigenous people of the UK" but the mask slips on personal social media

One supporter wrote: “British people are white. They aren’t brown, black, Asian or Jew.”
