My “independent investigator” was a lawyer who’s firm had ties to my employers law firm. She pretended to be neutral to gain my trust. She told me she was a former prosecutor. Workplace specialist. She twisted my words which she failed to record on each interview she did
She scared witnesses by telling them anything they said would go back to my respondent, our CHIEF...
Key witnesses who were the only ones who could substantiate my account were not interviewed.
She wrote her opinion about what took place between myself and one other person and called me a liar. Like she was there. Or as though the respondents would have no reason to be dishonest during their interviews?...
She left out evidence provided by be. Didn’t even mention the prior complaints about the Chief from two women who were willing to speak to her.
She only asked questions she needed a response for. No follow up or clarification unless it suited her biased report
She included an entire chapter of my respondent’s career achievements. As though that has some relevance in how he treated me and others daily.
She ghosted me after my second interview. Refused to respond to any of my concerns or questions
When her report was used to charge me with lying, I noticed her report findings were specific to policies and procedures within the service. Not the Human Rights Code, or the OHSA under which my complaint was lodged. Questions about this went unanswered.
The damage done to my health, career and family is irreparable. What you did almost killed me.And for that, Jan Parnega,I hope you fail in every aspect of your life.That people see you for the person you really are. That you get what you’ve put out into the world for a paycheque.
