Since the arrival of the covid-19 pandemic in Jamaica, CRJA has built a network of predominantly young innovators, doctors, medical experts, engineers, entrepreneurs, private sector leaders, government partners and more. We have leveraged that network to do the following.
Brought together 30+ young people from a variety of technical backgrounds in support of strengthening Jamaica’s resiliency in the face of the covid-19 pandemic @mannishwaata @yeknology @shawnwenzel @KhiaJosina @apryljaye @TanakaRoberts @Yas_Eyre
Set up an administrative support apparatus to get the following projects financed and logistically supported in-kind resources primarily by ICD Group Ltd. and Multicare Youth Foundation
Designed a website and resource hub for CRJA work http://www.citizensresponseja.com done by @redhillsummers with support from @chrisgizzada
Started an engineering team to build a mechanized ventilation system for trial under emergency circumstances led by @yeknology and SO MANY OTHERS, please add your accounts below
Financed, produced and are distributing 5000 face shields (~ 2000+ distributed to local hospital networks already, ~ 3000+ remaining to be printed and distributed) in partnership with Pree Labs Ltd. & JPL
Coordinated the distribution of 5000+ sewn face masks in partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Kingston, Stephan Rampair, Designs by Marc Ltd., Marc Frankson, NovaMed, KAJ by Summer Jarrett and several others

Built capacity to 3D print testing swabs with the ability to produce over 3000+ per week dependent upon demand thanks to @GraceKennedyGrp Foundation and the @thePSOJ PSOJ Response Fund
Designed communications campaign with billboards islandwide with @NOAjamaica, @doGOODJamaica, Leah Goldson, @deikamorrison and the @1bloodbankja to encourage Jamaicans to donate blood (due to national shortage). Epost Caribbean integrated scheduling/messaging system setup.
Coordinated work with private sector entities for design and production of face shields in partnership with Daniel Schwapp and Jamaica Fiberglass Products Ltd.
