Priestap also agreed with MI6 that any derogatory information they gave to the FBI about Steele would not be written down (meaning it couldn’t be disclosed to the FISA court or Congress.) Comey also swore under oath that it was Priestap who advised that Congress should be kept in the dark about Crossfire Hurricane, even excluding the Gang of Eight. Previously most interpreted this as Comey throwing Priestap under the bus to help himself. But what if that was true?
