Finland is and isnt within the hajnal-line, the Finnish civil war (1917) was a war between the developed upstanding man of civilization and the massed hordes of illiterate tribal trogladyte goblins of the dark ur-past over the future of Finland. A mortal struggle.
This was a biological war, ideology and economics was merely a windowdressing ad hoc post-factum. We were fighting for our survival against a foreign species, out to wipe us out. Everyone was a combatant. In a little over 5 months of fighting ~3% of the male population was dead.
The whites in deep red territory mounted several organized last-stand defences to contest the red rebellion. With 0 hope of "success" they managed to keep the reds disorganized and distracted long enough for the white army in Vasa to mobilize under mannerheim
My family (mothers side) participated in one of these last-stands. They were described as "enthusiastic and in a good mood to fight" saying "we cant let the reds walk all over us" skiing to white rendezvous, they fought surrounded and were taken as POWs.
Before heading out they ask their neighbour to join. He declined, taking no side, saying "this isnt my war." When reds reached his farm he was executed for being a class enemy, all his three sons were put on their knees and shot because they wouldve "inhereted class enemy status"
Moral of the story; is fence-sitters get the bullet too. In a civil war there are no non-combattants, get that into your head.
If someone hits you, hit them back a hundred times harder and then some. Note 5.7k reds died in battle, 10k were executed and 13.2k as a result of being taken POWs, we wouldve gotten more if the peacenik moderats hadnt released the rest into the wild. Sic semper commie.
Executing the red POWs is always self-defence as you know their descendants today have the same glint of the opressive longhouse tyranny in their eyes and hunger for our blood, and theyd try again in a heart-beat if they felt they had the numbers and the strenght.
