Dropped Charlie off for visitation in VA. I was there for less than 8 hours, but it was overnight. Therefore, I'm required to quarantine for two weeks or until I get a COVID test and it comes back negative.

The travel order is nearly impossible to follow if you're poor... (1/x)
I live in a coronavirus hotspot. That means, I have free testing sites near by.
If I didn't, I would have no other choice than to quarantine because I'm poor.

It's a Catch 22 for people. Risk a possible $500 a day fine for breaking the travel order or miss work for 2 weeks?(2/x)
If families need to quarantine, they need to have more than one bathroom. I don't even have more than one bedroom where Charlie and I live. (Charlie's "room" is a curtained off portion of our living room.) (3/X)
Because I only have one room, this portion of quarantine requirements will be a challenge too if one of us gets sick and need to quarantine in the future. (4/x)
And, I hope people have some money set aside to pay for grocery delivery surcharges or restaurant delivery expenses. (5/x)
Public health measures are only as effective as they are practical. With no COVID relief packages and large living condition disparities, these travel orders and quarantine measures are impossible for a lot of people.

If we want this to go away, we need to do better. (6/6)
