Despising the people in a lower socioeconomic class than you is a form of bigotry that goes almost entirely unrecognized in the mainstream US orthodoxy despite being fundamental to both liberal and conservative thought.

White liberals with Black Lives Matter signs on their manicured lawns so often oppose nationalized health care and other antipoverty legislation, which opposition does enormous harm to the communities they say they care about. Class agnosticism is racist by default.

The poor share across races an inability to afford the shit required to live. That is oppression. On top of that, Black people are far more likely to be killed/enslaved by state forces for trying to survive those miserable conditions. There can be no antiracism w/o antipoverty.
