The panic around the Post Office is depressing. @jonst0kes wrote up the need to do vote by mail back in February. I got it in a member request to Pelosi, who ignored it. Congress then passed three rescue bills, including a stock market bailout. Now, panic! https://twitter.com/jonst0kes/status/1232012386313342976
So much aggressive mediocrity and intentional helplessness. Democrats ignore those who think ahead. Then when it's too late, MSNBC panics and the useless sternly worded letters emerge, along with gnashing of teeth.
This is a systemic issue, up and down the party. The left groups who panicked about Alex Morse exhibited the same aggressive mediocrity. So did Bernie and Warren when they voted for the CARES Act. Just a deep insistence on not wielding power in any real way.
Not to mention Bush‘s and Obama’s sabotaging of the Post Office was a thing. Pretty much all Democratic discourse boils down to people paying no attention to anything important and then later on getting offended at reality.
