Latest on four major Colorado wildfires:

Pine Gulch (north of GJ)
- 74,807 acres, 7% contained

Grizzly Creek (I-70/Glenwood Spgs)
- 19,440 acres, 0% contained

Cameron Peak (Chambers Lake)
- 5,424 acres, 0% contained

Williams Fork (Grand County)
- 1,300 acres, 0% contained
Pine Gulch didn’t grow much yesterday amid more favorable weather conditions. It’s the fourth largest fire in state history and has burned mostly in the sparsely populated Roan Cliffs area, though officials have expressed concern about it running down Roan Creek towards De Beque.
Grizzly Creek continued to spread rapidly to the east on both sides of the Colorado River/I-70 yesterday, and there are reports that it has crossed the Eagle County line. Here’s the latest official map. One piece of good news: Hanging Lake has apparently been spared.
Cameron Peak more than tripled in size yesterday as high winds, steep terrain and “extreme fire behavior” prevented a lot of firefighting operations. It’s forced evacuations halfway to Fort Collins along Poudre Canyon, north along the Laramie River valley and south towards RMNP.
Williams Fork grew very quickly after first being spotted around noon yesterday, and appears to be on a similar trajectory to Cameron Peak. Grand County has issued a pre-evacuation order for an area west of Fraser/Winter Park.
Here are all four fires seen from GOES-16 this morning, including heat-sensing infrared imagery
