Bhojeshwar: An unfinished wonder

Bhojeshwar temple near Bhopal as it boasts of having one of the tallest shivlings in India measuring 7.5 feet in height and 17.8 feet in circumference, was built by the Parmara ruler of Malwa, Raja Bhoj (1010 -1055 CE)
Bhojeshwar is an Incomplete temple, construction was abruptly stopped midway historians have speculated that this may have been due to a natural disaster, war or lack of financial resources, But none of the historians made up with any conclusions of the real reason for unfinised
The original architectural plans carved in stone show that a much larger temple complex was planned by Raja Bhoj but never built. Had it been completed, it would have been one of the largest temple complexes in the country and could be the world famous
