Let's be careful with imposing sociological agendas on Jesus' earthly ministry. When examining his interactions, we do well to place it in the context of God's promise to his people related to him being their God in correlation to what had already been provided in the OT. /1
Every word and action he took was so that people would receive him as the fulfiller of those promises, not to make his action the fuel for sociological agendas. He addressed the needs of the marginalized to demonstrate that all were accepted in his kingdom... /2
...on equal standing through faith in him, not their station in life. That's not to say he was unconcerned with the whole person, their physical needs, or socio-economic position. But we can't make that stand on its head & undermine his mission in the process. /3
