yes, there are absolutely some legitimate FERPA concerns regarding recording all of your classes in zoom every day and them uploading them to the cloud. those need to be addressed.
however, another issue that's being overlooked is the "uploading" part. have you ever tried to uploading 4+ hours of a video on a chromebook before? yeah, it's not easy.
by the time the upload is complete and processed on drive, youtube, or whatever your district is using, it may already be 6 o'clock at night before that vid is sent out.

i'd much rather record a quick 15 minute lesson/summary using an app like screencastify at the end of each day than spend hours editing and uploading a questionable video.
think about it: it's 6 o'clock at night, and now a child has to watch 4 hours of video just to get ready for the next day of school? a 10 minute summary would be so much simpler.
