I have to get rid of something serious

It's frightening how many shipper use Rey as a vessel for Kylo. In the last few days I have seen and read so many bad takes and horrific manipulations that I would poke my eyes out.

Rey cannot own anything of her own without being brought into contact with Kylo. Not her own lightsaber, her friends, her lergacy or the Skywalker name in general. It’s always about Kylo too. No matter what.
Rey is portrayed as an identity thief, or that Kylo is just the one person who understands her and knows what she's going through, even though it's canonically wrong. Her feelings and worldview are manipulated by shippers everyday.
As a woman I can say that I am disappointed and disgusted that many people put Kylo in the foreground
and Rey becomes an object for Kylo. Kylo killed Palptine, without him she would be dead etc. The list is long and its annoying.

I grew up Star Wars in general. My childhood here is Luke. A simple boy who came from simple circumstances. Now many little girls and boys have Rey. A new role model for the next generation. She is also a simple girl. She is not really special, just like Luke.
But also like Luke, she became special in her own way. When I heard we get a female lead I was so happy. Because it shows that girls can also be strong. Strong like Luke Skywalker himself. That girls can do everything.
Unfortunately, this image is repeatedly destroyed. Just because many see a white man who hurt the girl. The villain of the story is portrayed as a hero and the actual heroine is made into a tool that should make him into a better man.
This message is wrong on so many levels. A girl or a woman does not exist just to be able to give a better life for a man. Everyone can decide for themselves how they want to live, because it is our decisions that make us who we are. Rey choose to be good. Kylo choose to be evil
And just like Luke, Rey always chose to do the right thing. Chose to see the good in people no matter how horrible that person is. And that's good message. But portraying the heroine as a soul healer who must help the enemy is terrible message.
Rey cannot be a Skywalker because she is a Palpatine by blood. So she is not allowed to take on the name of the family that helped her to grow as a person and made her feel loved, but the bad man who threw his family into chaos deserves the title ?!
This is wrong. The choices Rey made made her who she is. How many children are adopted and may not know their biological family, but still they are not allowed to honor their adopted family because they are also identity thiefs. That’s the logic of shippers.
Or Rey is portrayed as a baby factory and Rey can only be a Skywalker if she marries benny boy and then continues the skywalker bloodline. All Kylo did for Rey was hurt her. Emotionally and physically. He abused her for three movies, said that she is nothing. For no one.
To be honest, my heart breaks that I have to watch how Rey is canonically destroyed by shippers just so that shipper can use her for Kylo. Because Rey is not good enough for some people. Our first female hero is destroyed. This is called misogyny
Doesn’t matter what Rey did or will do. She will never be good enough in their eyes. Sure Rey is a character with no emotions and yet she still will have a big impact on future generations like Luke. She already has a impact on me, because as a girl, she is just amazing
And it’s doesn’t matter if you are also a girl; if you see Rey as a vessel for Kylo, you are also a misogyny piece of garbage. Do not try to teach abuse survivors something they have experienced.
Try not to preach that abuse would be okay just because it is fictional. Its not okay. A lot women and girls see themselves in Rey and when Rey says no, it means no. I am literally so fucking tired of this fanbase. And people can died mad about it that Rey choose Luke and Leia.
People can die mad about it that she is now canocially adopted and people can die mad about it, that Rey hated Kylo Ren canocially. That she love Finn and Poe. That she is the heir to the Falcon and that she is now the only Skywalker left. And a strong girl don’t need a man.
