Jude Bellingham (2003) Thread
Jude Bellingham, born: 29/6/2003, current club: Borussia Dortmund, former club: Birmingham City, captained England U17 side. Played for Birmingham U18 aged 14, before joining Birmingham U23s aged 15. At aged 16 he joined the first team and played a season in the Championship.
He played 2926 minutes in all competitions in his debut season, making him Birmingham Citys youngest ever debutant and goalscorer. He scored goals vs Stoke (1), Charlton (1), Leeds (1) and Cardiff (1). Before joining Borussia Dortmund during Summer 2020.
Position: Bellingham is a central midfielder. His strong technique and intelligence means he is versatile enough to play any midfield role and out wide.
Strengths: He is strong and composed on the ball and able to play quickly. He is good at receiving the ball under pressure, either using his technique in tight spaces or through physical battles, and he can turn excellently into space.
He reads the game well and seemingly has a picture of what to do before receiving the ball. He combines creatively with teammates through his smart movements on and off the ball. He chips in with goals through his smart positioning and long range shooting.
He beats opponents 1v1 with skill and has a way of shifting the ball away from opponents to find space for himself. He has a great passing distribution and often looks to play incisively and delivers fantastic crosses into the box.
He is unpredictable because he can play off either foot. He tackles firmly and recovers the ball from opponents, he positions himself well and can compete physically.
He is a leader who takes responsibility for himself on and off the field. He has been praised by coaches and playing staff for his excellent attitude and mentality.
Development: By moving to Dortmund he can gain Champions League experience over the coming seasons. Keep improving his already strong skillset through playing minutes and look to chip in with more strong performances and goals. Look to progress through the England age levels.
