Satellite images can be distorted and this is what the #CCP have claimed, only admitting to displacement of a few centimetres

Google is alleged to be colluding with the Chinese Communist Party by removing its current image and replacing it with an older one showing the Dam when it was new and straight.
The upper image is the one allegedly removed, while the lower is the current one from Apple Maps

This is the current image on Google maps, however it is evidently much older and taken when construction was nearly complete. The island near the top left is still under construction, while more recent photos show it finished with park land then more recently, submerged. #Busted
Going back to the 2 images showing deformation. the deformations are quite clearly real and not some image distortion. These are two images taken at different times.
They are taken at different angles and the water levels are different, but the actual movements are plain to see

To give you an idea of scale, this monster dam is nearly 1.5 miles wide and about 600 feet high. It is holding back a colossal amount of water which will submerge major cities already flooded below were it to fail.

The deformation in the other photos must be in the order of metres, not centimeters.
If you look carefully at the Apple image, taken from a lower angle, you can see that much of the movement is actually parts of the dam dropping. Why would that be?

Well I covered that a few days ago. Water is a powerful abrasive. When it is able to flow at high pressure it can cut through pretty much anything, including concrete and bedrock. The size of the hole grows exponentially as the flow increases. https://twitter.com/KevD00D/status/1293296722559537157?s=20
The likely devastating and world-changing consequences, together with another possible cause of failure are covered in this earlier thread. Much more information there.

If you feel like going off-piste a little, @paul_furber is covering this impending dam failure from a different angle. Type 'Dam' in the search field.
