hi if you are in tampa and you showed up for and posted about the protests in june, but haven’t been making noise or paying attention to what TPD has been doing lately, your activism is performative af. blm isn’t trending anymore but Tampa has NOT met our demands
jane castor is literally increasing the police budget by $13M but for some reason I see fewer people than ever calling to defund them. white supremacists and police have attacked and arrested BLM protesters in the streets and yall are not making enough noise about it for me
we had hundreds of people marching in support in june but lately we get just a fraction of that turnout. I understand if people are scared, because honestly I am too. scared of corona, scared of the police, scared of the counter protesters. but this is a necessary fight

you don’t even have to physically attend the rallies. just at least spread the word. keep the conversation going. we still have a lot of work to do.
