It's embarrassing that 1.7 billion Muslims are at subdued by a small nation in the middle east and lack behind it in everything from military technology to scientific ingenuity.

The best we can do is make refutation against one another and talk about modernity all day.

The harsh truth people is that we're not a united people, we're playing petty games, many of people have put patriotism above religion, and we have no credible institutions that hold power and wealth.

Whilst the whole world marches ahead we are still stuck fighting our petty debates. No amount of theological debate is going to change the state of your people if you're not willing to practically fund and create institutions that last. Until then, keep writing opinion pieces.
