oneus being all rounders : a thread / the definition of performance kings #LIVED #TO_BE_OR_NOT_TO_BE #์์ด์ค
oneus only debuted in January 2019 but they've already provided us countless exemples of what versatile performers mean owning up to their stage geniuses nickname so i thought we should take a look at the evidence
a good performer comes from a variety of factors and we're gonna see that oneus indeed ace them all, whether it be vocals, choreography, storytelling, so let's get into it!!!!
before we get into performances, let me remind you that oneus' songs are super versatile but that each of them showcases their skills super well, take a look at hide and seek : https://twitter.com/chalcoholic/status/1248253225767239681/video/1
same for blue sky, the contrast between the rap parts and high notes makes the song really intense and allows both vocals and rappers to shine in their own way
they put a lot of attention in their slower songs which gives us meaningful performances like it's the case for red thread. i love that they used props to illustrate the song it was just beautiful
same for hero, not only the lyrics are beautiful but they gave us a beautiful performance while singing live
now if we look at more upbeat songs don't worry you'll have a run for your money there too, they can pull off cute and fun performances too
they turned lit's performance into a real life festival onstage, not only they have a really powerful choreo but they also added details like magic tricks and storytelling to make it more lively!!
it's probably one of my favorite things about oneus' performances, they're always finding new ways to add a twist to their songs to make it more interesting and fun for the audience, you can check out the link for more on that!!
with that said it makes sense that people compare oneus' performance to musical ones because they indeed always add a story and details to their dances
the most striking example would be come back home which tells a story from start to finish with a really detailed and imaged choreography
and here's another example of using stave design to make the most out of a performance and add depth to it!!! https://twitter.com/chalcoholic/status/1273580791784759296/video/1
we've seen that they obviously know how to pull off a good stage but they also know how to transform covers into sensational performances too, like they did for warriors descendant using a song to carry an anti bullying and anti violence message
here again the use of props to portray Romeo and Juliet throughout the performance was just genius
they also did dance covers or groups that are notably known for having hard choreographies and still nailed it just take a look
here's oneus covering fear by seventeen flawlessly
this is coming to an end soon but just so we're clear they can also do their own original choreography to other songs and create a really specific atmosphere and that's talent
here's another fav bc i haven't seen fancams of it
okay i think that's it here are a few honorable mentions
dance the x - bad blood
tempo cover
feel special cover
intro time live
mama 2019

they're having a comeback on the 19th so please support them they deserve it
