OK real talk: this whole thread about Mailmerge was a response to someone awesome I know finding out about not getting a job because of an announcement on Twitter.
This is ... not the first time I’ve heard of this and I’ve experienced it first hand too, SO, here is my offer: https://twitter.com/oliviammunk/status/1293964555987623936

If you’re running *any* artist opportunity and have struggled with sending a large volume of rejections: I WILL TEACH YOU HOW TO INSTALL + USE MAILMERGE, AND I WILL DO IT FOR FREE.
For those unfamiliar, this’ll allow you to send personalised emails (not bcc’d) to a lot of people

This technology exists, is free (unless you truly want to send a ton of emails) and is easy to install and use.
I can probably teach you in half an hour, so if you’ve had feedback on this from artists in the past, hit me up and I’ll help you, no questions asked.

For those going “well, I have SO MANY of these to send, you couldn’t possibly help”, I processed 2,500 press tickets at this year’s VAULT Festival as a team of 1 solely using mailmerge and Google sheets, so trust me when I say, I got this.
It is absolutely not acceptable to not let artists know they haven’t been selected by something before it’s announced. It’s a tiny, simple industry thing that makes a HUGE difference to people’s wellbeing. So. Let’s fix it! Drop me a message.
