3. I knew about custom audiences and lookalike audiences (in theory)

I was learning about Facebook Ads to be able to sell a herbal tea we imported from China.
I had about 50 units of this tea.
And I only had N50,000 set aside for advertising.

I got some engagement on the ad and one woman even signed up to learn more about the product.
I only spent like N1,500 on that ad I think.

I went back to my mentor and told him about the results.
I was really frightened that the entire Facebook ads thing wouldn’t work.
And I didn’t have a lot of money set aside to master the entire process.
So, he decided to do a test for me with his own ad account.

I asked him to send me a document detailing every single thing he did.
He sent everything to me and I modeled it, made a few tweaks here and there and ran the ad.
In less than 24 hours I had about 7 orders!

We were able to sell out all 50 products in less than 10 days of running that ad.

I kept trying new things…
When an ad wouldn’t convert, I’d try something new and keep testing until it clicked.
