People view the Postal Service favorably because until we got a new Postmaster General the U.S. Postal Service was ranked one of the most efficient postal services in the world.

You knew if you mailed a letter it would get where it was going.
The Postal Service became an essential lifeline for many people during stay at home orders. But for lots of people even pre-covid-19 it already was. People get medication through the mail.
Was I the only one who stayed awake in civics class when I was told over and over again that government's responsibility is to the will of the people?

The administration is undermining an efficient, necessary*, & popular service , and the take is "American's still like it even though it's unprofitable?"
*necessary because the private mail services are very much on record that they cannot provide the full suite of services USPS provides and definitely not at their pricing. They are not going bring mail out to villages in the Bush for example, or rural areas out West.
