1/9. The sophists say that 2+2=4 only within a formal math system WE HAVE INVENTED. Note that. Also, it is merely a GAME and not truth. What is going on here?

What is being said is that all language is merely a construct of the human mind that we impose on reality.

2/9. But 2+2=4 is a statement about the world. It describes the reality of when I have 2 apples & you give me 2 more. It connects with external reality & reflects that reality correctly. This is why it is true - not b/c it follows the arbitrary rules of a lang. game we invented.

3/9. Modern anti-metaphysical thot (I won't call it philosophy) insists that language never connects with reality. If moderns were right abt that, then any theory of physics would be just as good as any other as the basis of technology, which is obviously & demonstratively wrong.

4/9. Mod. tech. is possible b/c we have discovered some true facts abt the world. How did we do this? By using universals (math) to theorize about reality & devise measurable experiments to text the theories. Why does this work if math is just an arbitrary lang game we invented?

5/9. This is the mystery no postmodernist can explain. But what we need to understand is that the POMO's care no more about science than they do abt morality or God. They are just interested in deconstructing all authority so they can impose their wills on the resulting anarchy.

6/9. If you think the solution is to prove they are wrong; the joke's on you. They already know that & THEY DON'T CARE! The reason I won't call postmodernists "philosophers" is b/c they don't "love" (philo) wisdom (sophia). There is no pt reasoning with them; they despise logic.

7/9. They are happy to use arguments on you b/c they see you as weak & susceptible to such 'nonsense'. They see themselves as 'gods' who are beyond such little things. They see themselves as superior beings who deserve to rule over others b/c they 'see through' everything.

8/9. This is they are opposed to free speech. They see all of life as politics & they reduce politics to a struggle for power. Lang & logic are just masks for the will to power. So how can they be defeated? If logic, reasoning & dialogue won't do it, what is left?

9/9. Think about it. The answer is disturbing & ugly. We can surrender or we can enforce the law by whatever means necessary. When it comes right down to it, there sometimes are no good options. Postmodernism is a serious threat to morality, freedom & science.
