A lot has been happening in the twitter world this week and I have been mostly missing it all. @holdmyhandab has picked up a ton of support from a bunch of amazing groups & individuals. I am in shock and awe daily as we are mentioned and pumped up. Advocacy is hard work. Thread
It’s exhausting to go on and on and feel sometimes like you’re not getting anywhere. But we are. We are reaching people outside of our community and they’re saying... “We see you. We got you!”
And however they have come to this conclusion... it doesn’t even matter. If it’s because they only now know how it feels, or because they only now know it’s happening. They know. And for the longest time that was all we ever asked for.
Because knowing better IS doing better. And if you know better you can’t not do anything. So thank you all for the support. It gives us the energy to keep going. We had the fight, we never lost that, but the exhaustion was for sure setting in for me. I needed this. #holdmyhandab
