This #SundayMorning we're trying to save the USPS. After the appointment of Trump sycophant Louis DeJoy as Postmaster General and the Friday Night massacre of USPS leadership, it's looking bleak.
Here's what we have to do to save the USPS.

(2) DeJoy's actions are painfully transparent and absolutely intended to undermine the election. (3) We NEED to have more funding for the USPS in the next coronavirus stimulus package. But since DeJoy is in charge and the USPS leadership is now exclusively Trump appointees, we can't trust them to use it.

(4) There's a myriad of ways the USPS could slow down or misuse funding, so the legislation Dems pass will have to account for this kind of chicanery in advance.

(5) In fact, Trump specifically threatened to veto the first round of stimulus back in April if it contained a USPS bailout so Dems HAVE to hold the line this time.

(6) And while we can continue to buy stamps and cute USPS themed crop tops, DeJoy can also still take your money while enacting policies that undermine voting by mail.

(7) How can you help? Call your representatives & demand they support stimulus for the USPS specifically earmarked to improve delivery and support voting by mail

(8) Last but not least take a good long look at these guys. These are the USPS governors. Every single one of them are Trump appointees and many are former businessmen with a vested interest in tanking the USPS.

(9) The board of governors can hold DeJoy accountable, but you'll notice the chairman used to be the head of the RNC. He's a Kentucky Republican and likely close pals with good ole Mitch. Duncan was reappointed in 2019 & will hold his seat until 2025.

(10) Duncan is Chairman of the Board at Alice Lloyd College & CEO of Inez Deposit Bank, so reach out to those institutions & let them know why they'll no longer receive your business.
