BUKAYO SAKA Let’s look at Arsenal’s wonder kid Saka and why he could well be integral to Artetas vision for Arsenals future!
GUNNERS GEM - The Arsenal youngster has certainly impressed in his breakthrough season into the Gunners first team.
- The 18 year old was nominated for “Player of the season” which shows how brilliant he’s been!
- Arteta has given him the no.7 shirt for next season!
- With only scoring 1 goal in the Premier League, it’s clear to see his creativity is what he brings to the side.
- Looking at the heatmap we can see that he is constantly down that left flank joining the attack but also helping with defensive duties.

DEFENSIVE DOUBTS - Although Saka is attacking and classed as a midfielder, he can also play in the LB position which means he isn’t always as forward.
- Fortunately with Tierney coming back from injury and having great form that should keep Saka up the pitch in ATK.
ROTATION ROULETTE - The main doubt people have is his roatstion risk (which comes in with a lot of players). As he’s just received the no.7 shirt and Arteta seems to favour him I believe he will feature quite a lot in Arsenals 20/21 season.
PRICE - I’ve priced him at £5.5m if he is put in that midfielder category.
- Despite the rotation rush he will be a player that Mikel will bring off the bench if he doesn’t start.
- a £5.5m MID will always have rotation risk, but Saka will no doubt give us reruns!
CONCLUSION - Arteta is clearly fond of Saka and will definitely feature a bigger role this season for the Gunners.
- Because of their strength in attack we will have to wait and see if he fits into the starting lineup but if so, he’s definitely worth a look at for 20/21
