@BrentfordFC is a special club to me. For some reason, I started following them since their promotion to the @SkyBetChamp in 2014-15 and was taken in by how well they suited themselves in a tough league. Here is a thread on a journey since then till 5th August 2020.

The most remarkable aspect about their progression in Championship is the fact that they have never been involved in a relegation battle. Another unique aspect is how their progression curve within a season is almost always on the ascent after the initial few gameweeks.

To establish the fact that Brentford’s progression is one of a kind, we compare their performances with fellow promotion gainers in the 2014–15 and 2015–16 seasons. Besides a couple of seasons, they finished above them in all.

@Wolves were one of those fellow promotion gainers in 2014-15 who were promoted to the @premierleague in the five year span but had a huge spending.

@BrentfordFC on the other hand generates profit through their transfers and maintains a good league position as well.

Here is a look at their top sold assets. All of the top four plied their trade in the @premierleague last season. One wonders what would have happened had they not been a selling club.

The 2019-20 season saw @BrentfordFC come closest to their @premierleague return since the drop after WWII. Looking at the most active players this season, it seems Thomas Frank likes a 4-3-3 approach with @daviidraya1 guarding the sticks.

Thomas Frank loves a good piece of attacking football and that is reflected in this viz. His front 3 of Benrahma, @Olzay and Mbeumo racked up the numbers this season in terms of goals and assists. What a delight it was to watch the three play this time !

(7/n)
@BrentfordFC had the most potent strike force in the @SkyBetChamp last season. The BMW front scored almost 60 goals between them which was way more than their competitors' strike force. No wonder they are attracting the @premierleague clubs currently.

"I just know one thing — that when we start next season, we will have a very strong side out there again, and we’re ready to push.”
@BrentfordFC's recent history suggest that Thomas Frank’s words post the loss to @FulhamFC in the playoff final is not to be pushed aside.
