re: alex morse
i am thinking a lot about how for the past four years, all adults have done is put the responsibility of bringing about a better world on OUR shoulders.
it’s always about how young people having our fingers on the pulse, have our hearts in the right places.

but when we point out how the world and the people around us need to change the way they navigate through love, dating, etc, it’s back to antiquated culture and defending normalcy.

if consent is given within a context and framework that gives one an upper hand, is that really consent? if you feel like you have to say yes, is that really consent?
many young people more aware of power dynamics and imbalances than most adults we know will ever be, tbh.

i am, and most of my peers are as well, ready to put “personal liberties” on the line.
we are ready to change nearly every aspect of our lives so that we can build a world where power is not exploited and where less people are hurt, felt preyed upon, etc.
are you?

structures that uphold rape culture include power imbalances, cultures of ownership, and even our obsession with individuality instead of community health and vitality.
i want all of it gone.
if you are seriously justifying or defending alex morse right now, block me.
