Having a large family has increasingly become a privilege of the wealthy, I’m sad to say.
I know many people who would LOVE a large family, but who don’t even have healthcare. And then you have the “NFP-is-evil” Catholics for blaming them for not having larger families, or having to practice NFP.
It’s such a more nuanced topic than the oversimplification you see among traditionally-minded Catholics online. Having a large family is a PRIVILEGE. Be grateful you have the financial means to do it, and pray for those who don’t but whose hearts ache for more children.
And the even shittier part is that the most wealthy people have no kids at all, or one or two. Hoarding their wealth for what?????? Earthly riches.
