Crazy how dominant $DDOG is in the observability space.

It has two superpowers that make it great:

1) Ability to quickly iterate and conquer the breadth of product offerings

2) Being customer obsessed, understanding their pain points and reinforcing the positive feedback loop
On 1), they recognized that customers didn't want multiple software vendors, and could create a product that could be used by more than customer's IT workforces to maximize end users.

They saw that self-serve product adoption and cross-sell has enabled them to scale faster.
On 2), by selling to multiple end users, this helped make their sales extremely efficient and capitalize on the bottoms-up sales approach rather selling to CIOs as many competitors still did.

This allowed them to employ "land and expand" which prolongs their strong NDR.
