PRO TIP: Trump’s executive order is just as constitutional as the CARES Act.

Tell me where you stood on one before you complain about the other.
We live in a post-constitutional era. There is no “rule of law”. There are no constraints on people in government because there’s no punishment for doing wrong.

There is only power now.
People in America are selectively constitutional now. They’ll justify whatever they want as constitutional and demonize what the other guy wants as unconstitutional.

Because we stopped teaching what the Constitution is and why it matters.
I don’t care about executive orders anymore. John Roberts and his merry band of SCOTUS oligarchs saw to that. Order whatever you want. The next will. And the next guy after him. And after him too.

It doesn’t matter anymore. We’re in a state of rapid decline and separation.
There’s nothing “constitutional” anymore. There won’t ever be again. Not until we break up and a new one is written.

And it’s our fault. At the first sign of trouble we turn to D.C. and shout, “SAVE US!!”.

What we have now is the result of that mentality.

That’s all.
