...A Story of Persistence

Make sure you read until the end!

-> You know some people never know when enough is enough.

Take this man for instance...
He was the son of a no-hoper.

He was poorly educated, and his mother died when he was 9 years old.

At the age of 21 he worked in a grocery store.

A year later he opened his own store and promptly went broke.

When he was 23, he ran for office and was defeated.
At 25 he tried again with his own business and went broke again.

A year later his fiancé died.

He then suffered a nervous breakdown.

After that he studied for 6 years part-time to become a lawyer.

At 29 he again ran for office and was defeated again.
He tried again at 34 and 37 and was defeated both times.

He married and had 4 sons, 3 of whom died before adulthood.

At 39 he lost again for office and then lost again at age 46. Then at 49 he was defeated again.

Perhaps he should have listened...
Listened to people telling him that enough was enough.

They told him that it wouldn’t work.

But he didn’t. He kept trying.

Finally as the age of 52, Abraham Lincoln became President and went down in history as one of the greatest.
The number of times you try determines your success.

There will always be people who say you can’t do something.

Trust your decisions. Winners never quit, quitters never win.

Let’s all have a massive week and...

Be like Abe!
